You can even record to multiple tape decks and the DAW simultaneously without having to manual align tracks for synchronization. Telefunken AR51 tube microphones beautifully record acoustic guitars with warmth and smoothness in the midrange, a nice tight bottom-end, and an open and brilliant top. In the first segment the mic on the right was placed near the 12th fret of the guitar and the microphone on the left was placed over the guitarist right shoulder. This approach creates a very large and balanced stereo image. As you can hear, these mics are warm and very pleasing in the mid range and articulate in the top end without being overly bright. You will then hear a studio recording of a stereo pair of the Telefunken AR51's on a Martin HD28. In this setup we hear more body from the acoustic due to the placement of the the mics than we did in the previous example, nicely displaying the versatility of the Telefunken AR51's in the recording studios.

The Toft Audio ATB04 Pony Console demonstrated by famed engineer and Trident Creator Malcolm Toft at AES 2009. This ingenious product allows users to experience the complete sound and functionality of the larger format ATB boards such as the ATB 16, 24, or 32, in a package that can be easily shipped to a customers home or studio for demonstration. This console, and its soon to be released ATB08, are both excellent project studio devices in their own right with 4 (or 8) channels of mic pres and superb Toft EQ, as well as numerous balanced inputs from the AUX return and monitoring sections.
