So I think Joe Satriani has gone a bit insane -- his new album, Professor Satchafunkilus And The Musterion Of Rock cannot be the work of a man in his right mind. Nevertheless, the new VOX Satchurator pedal is all over the new album. Mike Bradley of VOX spent a year and a half working with Joe Satriani and learning to speak his imaginary language so that they could effectively communicate ideas to develop an overdrive pedal that would provide all that Professor Satchifunkalupagus (or whatever he's calling himself nowadays) with all he'd ever want out of an OD pedal. As it turns out, once you've fully invested yourself in Satriani's backwards-land, he has some pretty rocking ideas.

The legendary British Vox tone has created some of the most memorable recordings of all time. It launched the British Invasion, and it has also given modern guitarists that classic chime and harmonically rich overdrive that is perfect for a wide variety of musical styles. This utterly responsive 1 x 12 valve combo amp has two channels, a normal and Top Boost. The normal channel has volume, master volume, and tone cut controls. Explore the interactions between the master volume and volume for a variety of overdriven tones. Plug into the Top Boost channel to expand the Vox tone, with adds adjustable bass/treble controls. Go from sparkling crystalline chord work to overdriven British hot tone with the Vox AC15 Customs Celestion G12M Greenback. This sweet valve combo is powered by three 12AX7 preamp tubes and the powerplant is equipped with a two EL84 tubes. This provides amazing responsiveness and rich warm classic Vox tube tone. Also on board are rich reverb and tremolo effects that are controllable through an included footswitch.
