Lemur controlling Ableton Live using OSC. A custom VST provides the timing information and handles the communication to/from Live as well as to/from Lemur. Simultaneously running 2 instances of Lucifer VST, modified builds to be controlled entirely via OSC. The result = DJ setup with no need for a computer screen, and a lot of things you can't even do with Ableton Live + mouse.

This shows a new Lemurized multitouch interface I've been working on for the Molar VSTi Monome plugin created by Steve Duda. This uses a special Lemurized build of Molar that is available from Steve's website. You can find links at monome.org and jazzmutant.com. If you are interested in using other Monome applications besides Molar on the Lemur, please check out MonemurV2 on the jazzmutant site which is a general emulation of the monome for the Lemur and can be used with any applications created for the monome.

Short demo of some basic functions of my Lemur DJ template. I am using a Jazzmutant Lemur and Ableton Live, which are linked by APIMidi, standard MIDI mappings and some AU plugins. Aditionally a custom c++ app does all the stuff that is impossible with Live only (waveform display, loop functions). Goal of the project was/is to play without the laptop visible. I am additionally using a Behringer BCR controller for the filters, effects and also for all the buttons... more about that in the next video.
