Description : The Charter Oak PEQ1 is a gorgeous sounding Stereo EQ featuring wide overlapping bands that musically take a rough Jazz mix to a much more polished state. While not a Parametric EQ, this PEQ-1 Program EQ features some amazing tonal control, as these extremely powerful filters have ideally-located center frequency, and interact wonderfully well with one another. There is even a 50k switch that allows you to boost a wide band of EQ with a center-point at 50k that beautifully contours and lifts bands well under 20k at its high boost setting, resulting in an unprecedented openness, that sounds like "taking the blanket off of the Tweeter" of your control room monitors. Any recording studio should own this box, both as a finishing tool, as a wonderful single-channel or stereo tracking tool, and frankly, even in the mastering world. It possesses remarkable ease of use, and tremendous power. Don't let the fixed Q (width) and fixed EQ center point frequencies fool you. This is an incredible and innovative design in audio equalizer technology.
