Inside this little red device is a single germanium transistor and germanium diodes, which deliver old school treble booster tones as well as fuzz-like textures when pushed hard. The newest EQD Crimson Drive also has a versatile tone control which allows dynamic textures to sneak through the whole sweep. This all analog germanium overdrive runs on standard 9v power or battery and is wired for true bypass, not to mention hand made one at a time by the folks at Earthquaker Devices in Akron, Ohio.
